DOD Direct Privacy Policy and Terms

DOD Direct Privacy and Cookies Policy:

Dietitians On Demand Direct (DOD Direct) values and respects your privacy. This privacy policy aims to give you information on how DOD Direct collects and processes your personal data through your use of this website and in your other dealings with us, including any data you may provide through this website when you sign up to our newsletter, purchase a product or service and send us queries or communications. If you choose, you can visit without providing us with any information about yourself.

DOD Direct aims to provide our patrons with a positive online experience. To enhance your experience with us, we may collect information about you such as, your name, email address, city and state of residence and interests, as they relate to the world of nutrition and wellness.

When you fill out any of our Web forms you generally may have to submit your e-mail address, name or other personal information. The information collected from you will not be distributed or shared with any third parties. The information you provide us will be kept confidential within the DOD Direct database.

We may collect certain non-personally identifiable information about you when you visit our site, such as the type of browser you are using the type of operating system you are using, the referring site from which you came (e.g., a partner site), and the domain name of your internet service provider.

We use the non-personally identifiable information that we collect in the aggregate to improve the design and content of our site so that you can have a better experience. We also use this information to analyze site usage.

To help make our sites more responsive to the needs of our visitors, we may invoke a standard feature of browser software, called a “cookie,” to assign each visitor a unique, random number, a sort of user ID, if you will, that resides on your computer. (Sorry, this cookie doesn’t include chocolate chips.) The cookie doesn’t actually identify the visitor, just the computer that a visitor uses to access our site. Unless you voluntarily identify yourself (through a form, for example), we won’t know who you are, even if we assign a cookie to your computer. The only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply. A computer cookie can’t read data off your hard drive.

DOD Direct never shares or sells your information with any third-party organization. In general, we use your information to share resources that may interest you.

A secure server is used when you submit your information. This is indicated by checking in the top of the browser where you would type in a URL. Inside the URL bar to the left of the domain you will see a padlock, and the website will also begin https:// rather than http:// The secure server software, SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us.

We may select and post testimonials about us or our Products, which may contain personal data such as your name and/or the city, state, or country in which you live. We will obtain your consent prior to posting any testimonial with your name. If you post such content, it will be available to other customers and visitors. Your posting may also become public and we cannot prevent such information from being used in a manner that may violate this policy or the law. If you would like us to remove or delete your name or testimonial, you may contact us at [email protected] Note that copies of information that you have updated, modified, or deleted may remain viewable in cached and archived pages for a period of time.

If any changes are made to our privacy policy it will be posted on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.

Please note, this policy does not detail how social media platforms may collect, store, use, and share your personal information.
